“The wisdom of admitting your weakness and correcting them through continuous learning means leadership.” – A. James. When I read this aphorism it immediately clicked with me because this is something I had to learn to do to become a good leader. A leader isn’t someone who bosses people around to do things that will just benefit them.. A leader is someone who learns from their weaknesses and inspires others to better themselves.…

The classes taught in middle school were supposed to be easy, especially now that I look in retrospect. Yet, I regularly brought home B’s and low A’s, at best, on my report card. I had barely challenged myself in middle school, if at all.…

As stated in the text, “young adolescents are changing in many ways and need the support of adults in their lives to successfully navigate through these changes.” Middle school is rough. These students are going through cognitive development as well as physical development. Properly trained teachers will take this into account when creating their lesson plans. Instead of handing out papers, have the students get up and walk around to collect materials so they are not forced to cram their growing bones into tiny desks.…

Middle school is an inevitable phase of many of our lives. It is also a very memorable time- for both good and bad reasons. Yet, we all somehow manage to strive through no matter how tough the year gets. For me, at first, none of the typical horrifying middle school stereotypes fit how my sixth grade year was going. Overview When coming into this school year I had high expectations of what it would be like, unfortunately school does not have instructions included. But when we look at these goals with an open mind they're actually trying to figure out your place in life or figuring out…
