Intro In American history there has been situations where gender plays a role in many events whether it is in political events, personal life or economic actions. Lately, women have had a speaker and a motivator to keep fighting for those rights, Hillary R. Clinton. With the arid topography around them they weren’t used to armed conflict they didn’t even make weapons because no one else was there to fight with them, until the middle kingdom when semitic nomads came down from mesopotamia and changed egyptian women and social class forever by the weaving of cultures. The mesopotamian culture was that women were garbage and had to be bought and were nowhere near equal, so all of that comes down and crushes women’s laws in egypt. Because the old kingdom women laws were so high women could actually get jobs (Hairdressers and other low jobs) in middle kingdom egypt unlike mesopotamia. Quin I agree that Afghan women may have more opportunities but Afghan women still have the societal pressures they had in Afghanistan. Most Afghan's that immigrated to America stayed in tight-knit groups with other Afghan's. Since they have these preconceived notion's about being a woman, women aren't in a very different position than if they were still in Afghanistan. Not many women would go against their family's and traditions because of the backlash from the community, especially from a community so focused on appearance. Even if the women tried to advance in a new country they would be so far behind in schooling; it would be almost impossible to reach a lawyer or doctor.…

The Qu’ran is the sacred text that guides the Islamic society. It is meant to be the everlasting word of God, which would make it reasonable to say that women in Islamic society should be treated as equal with men. If women are said to be given equal religious and independent legal status, then in a society which revolves around religion, women should have the same rights as men. They should also be given the freedom to make their own decisions pertaining to most issues (Islam Oppresses Women). In America today, Muslim women are struggling to address the stereotypes and misconceptions entailed with being a woman in Islam.…
