The middle class. It’s exactly how it sounds. The middle of the socio economic ladder and what a majority of the United States working class is located. This class is what shaped me into the man I have become and continuing to grow as today. The middle class lifestyle affected me in ways such as I wasn’t able to be with my mom and dad as much, we had just enough to get what we needed, and it laid the ground work for the work ethic that I have now and continue to build on today. Growing up with two working parents definitely had an effect on me growing up. They did as best they could to be home at decent times and the time we did spend together was great because they put in the time and effort to make it great. My mom was and still is an elementary school teacher, so until I started school as a kindergartener she would take me to a sitter for the day. I would spend almost all day, every day there until my mom, or sometimes dad, would get off work and come pick me up. My dad worked weird hours, seeing as he practiced law and the firm where he worked would often change their hours depending on how …show more content…
Looking at how a lower class/middle class citizen lives, works, and does things is going to be completely different from a high class citizen. Things may very such as what they spend money on to how they feel about work, whether it’s manual labor or a big comfy corporate job. Due to the limited amount of time I could get to see my parents, the ability to get by comfortably enough with not all the extra things in life, and the early base for a good work ethic, the middle class made me into the upstanding citizen that I am today and I continue to hold onto the values I learned as a kid and hope to never forget them so I may pass them down to my children later
