Middle Childhood Paper (age 7-12) How would we qualifier the growth rate of Middle childhood? Middle childhood kids go through a slower rate of psychological development compare to early childhood children. However, they still go through the same types of developments including, physical, cognitive, and psychosocial. Paola is a very pretty girl who likes herself very much. She is skinny and likes fashion a lot. Also, her favorite color is pink and does everything possible to wear nothing but pink. I think, Paola has a great sense of self-worth and self-esteem. Furthermore, Paola is good at every subject at school for now including, math, science, and reading. Although she likes crafts, she hates painting and drawing; she wishes she could be better at drawing. Moreover, Paola wishes to become a fashion model when she grows up or a professional soccer player. Also, Paola’s definition of a good friend is someone who likes the same kind of stuffs she likes and spends a lot of time with her. Paola has experienced some kind of peer pressure. For example, at the start of this school year all of her girlfriends has a backpack that has a Disney character from Frozen and since she didn’t have one, they were making fun of her until her mom finally got her one. Also, Paola told me her friends are very more important rather than her family because it is very important to be popular which include having a lot of friends. It is also very important to her to be doing the same kind of things her friends are doing. Paola said that her parents let her choose her own outfits something they would not let her do a year ago. In addition, Paola has a great relationship with her younger brother Kael, who is only 7 year old.
