When you hear the word "dark ages" what is the first thing that pops up in your head? well for me i think of something scary and dark and mean. Well the "middle ages" is the complete opposite. There was not much stuff that came out of the middle ages but all of the people were happy and smiles and trading and buying goods!!! so when you think of the middle ages you should think of all that i just described. I do not think that the dark ages is a good name to call the middle ages.

in these middle ages, 2 great things were made, the joan of arc painting and the kokin wakashu anthology. the painting of the joan of arc is religious or of religious decent because if you look closely you can see the angels in the top right corner of the painting. she is also viewed as a heroine because of the suit of Armour and the sword. as for the anthology, the style and the layout of the book looks af if someone put a lot of time and effort into it so i am guessing that it is valued high. the anthology was published between 878-930. also when trade was going on in islam and japan, they both traded what eachother neede dso that its a win win.
