When the concert started, it was introduced by a young lady from Bonneville. After she was done, the Women’s Choir sang their songs, followed by the Intermediate and Men’s choir. In between the transitions from one choir to the next, were small group, duet and solo songs. After Men’s Choir, Bel Cantos and their Choir Clinic, which I was a part of, got up and sang “Pink Panther” and “Loosin Yelav”. Following those songs, Bel Cantos sang “I Have a Voice”. Then Rocky Mountain got up and sang “Gloria” and then “A Musical” with the Bonnevaires. The final two songs were sung by Bonnevaires. These pieces concluded the “Mid-Winter Concert”.
The concert had many great aspects to it. There was a wide variety of music, from humorous to elegant to forceful. Each piece was unique and memorable. My favorite song was the last song, sung by the Bonnevaires, a version of “William Tell Overture”. It was choreographed to …show more content…
Before the concert, the choir students were quite talkative, mostly Rocky Mountain, Men’s, Women’s, and Intermediate choirs. During songs and other inappropriate times, I noticed that a few students would gab to their friends. Another obvious weakness was each choir group’s preparedness and enthusiasm. Students who had bad attitudes and did not want to be there stuck out like sore thumbs. Smiles and enthusiasm would be a big improvement to implement. By no fault of our own getting on and off the stage was bothersome but getting on and off the risers nd stage could have been done more professionally with less
