The climate of the Mid-Atlantic is a benefit because there is a moderate climate all year round. This allows a long growing season. The geography includes deep rivers that can be used as a benefit for transportation. They are also located in the coastal lowlands and a near the Appalachian Mountains. The main motivation was to flee England due to religious persecution. Also, because of the colonists different cultures, they may not all be supportive of England and her laws. If they do not like their country that they could chose England but they could chose France. This shows why the colonists motivations to defend the crown may prove to be a problem.
After much evaluation, the main aspects of the Mid-Atlantic colonies such as, climate, geography, human and natural resources, specializations, social and political aspects, and the colonists motivation for England.
