Mick is one the most interesting character and the most unique characters out of all the characters to me. Mick is a character that has changed a lot throughout the whole book. What do you think Micks greatest strengths and weaknesses are? Mick is a very outgoing character throughout the whole book she usually does whatever she want expect when she has to take care of her two younger brother Ralph and Bubber. But when she is done taking care of them she can do whatever she please to do. Her greatest strength is her music; greatests weaknesses are her “Inner Room” and trying to fit in with everyone at vocational school.
Micks greatest strength is her music. It makes her feel better when she is feeling down. When she listens to it she tries to remember the songs and how they are played. She goes to a house where they play classical music on the radio and she sits under the tree right outside of a window where she can hear the music the best, but one night she goes there to listen to the music and she falls asleep while listening to it. “The radio was on as usual. When they are not she usually scares them to where they are acting right and they won’t do what they was doing again. Like when bubber got caught peeing in the bush she scared to where he won’t do it again. Also when bubber had shot baby he was hiding in the treehouse in the backyard and mick found him and scared him so much that he had ran away, because she told him that he was going to prison and there was a little kid electric chair just his size. So he had start walking to Atlanta to run away but after that incident he never acted the same to anyone in the house again he changed his name back to his name he was born with

There are those who have difficulty conforming to society, as these people have trouble adapting to this constant change. Some, who are afraid to express themselves, because of what other may think, cage their true self. As a result, they become outcasts of society. Chris McCandless’ actions can be seen as rebellious at first, but as time goes on, it is clear that there is hostility between his parents and himself that he does not want to face or try to fix. In a dysfunctional family, there are two extremes when it comes to the outcome of the children: the rebel or the conformist. Although the older child is typically the conformist and the younger child is the rebel, the McCandless family is a little different because both children are the rebels. Krakauer says, “Also like Chris, she clashed fiercely with Walt and Billie as an adolescent… [but] Carine made peace with her parents shortly after Chris disappeared” (129).…

I thought the Survey of Character Strengths was an interesting survey to take. My first and second strengths were not particularly surprising to me, however my third was not what I necessarily expected it to be, but I am certainly not unhappy with it. All three strengths are values I have always admired because I have grown up watching my parents and older siblings showcase all three. I have consciously tried to emulate their example regarding these strengths and it was intriguing and encouraging to see all three show up in the survey. I was glad to see which strength showed up as my top, as kindness and generosity are especially important to me.…
