The birth of Mickey Mouse occurred on a cross-country train ride early in the year 1928. Walt, then the age of 26,Walt had set out to arrange for a new contract for his creation and with an active cartoon studio in Hollywood. Oswald the Rabbit, but the company then turned him down. As they owned the copyright, they took control, now owning Oswald the Rabbit and leaving Walt with absolutely nothing. He was preparing to announce the unpleasant news to workers back at home but instead, Walt gave birth to a new character, a mouse, called Mickey Mouse.
