Tammy, I totally agree with your explanation. To expound on it, the Michelson’s separate hermeneutics and exegesis to help correct, from what I see, the inexperienced study scripture. The context of a particular writing and its form can say a lot about a passage. I am taking the Psalms class here at Regent and have to say that different forms of writing make a difference. I am not saying that the inexperienced reader cannot gather great information and learn the truth of God, however, when it comes to dogmatic doctrine, learning this way of study is paramount. The Torah, History books and others are very interesting, but without an overall view of what the Bible is describing, I can see how getting different views on certain issues can happen;
