I don’t agree with her firing practices when she hired more than 900 new teachers during one summer but once discovering there wasn’t enough money in the budget, she had to lay off over 200 teachers. Instead of compromising to cutting summer school to keep some teachers employed she told principals to lay off teachers that were ineffective. I personally dislike standardized tests because from kindergarten to 12th grade my teachers seemed to be trained to teach me how to pass a test.
