Michelle LaVaugh Robinson was born on January 17, 1964 in Chicago Illinois. During her time as First Lady she advocated for poverty and proper nutrition. In 2010, Michelle Obama campaigned for Healthy-Hunger Free Kids which had provisions to enhance the nutritional value of school lunches, including vending machines. Her public health, Let’s Move campaign also encouraged Americans to make healthy eating choices and engage in exercise. She is also the first, First Lady to obtain two Ivy League degrees.
