The steps taken to get to get to his fame this were a massive influence on his life. His apprenticeship with the very famous painter was the beginning. Afterwards, him be-friending Lorenzo de’ Medici and gaining such influence, status and power with the most powerful family in the country became possible the most important event in Michelangelo’s life due to the opportunities that had arisen from it.
The next major life event was after Lorenzo de’ Medici died. His son was left to rule and tension had arisen between the Medici family and Lorenzo’s son. This was the first time Michelangelo left Florence. In Rome, Pope Leo X had asked Michelangelo to build the St. Peter’s Basilica. Soon after a year or so Pope Leo X decided that he didn’t want it built anymore and that enraged Michelangelo and he went back to Florence.
Next, was perhaps the war to over-throw the Medici family, as said above this caused Michelangelo to flee Florence and live the rest of his life in Rome.
Afterwards Michelangelo lived out his life in Rome with many friends with whom he wrote poetry about and painted with. Michelangelo died of a flu in 1564.

Many of Michelangelo’s nude paintings and sculptures were often a shock to the population but this influenced many painters to express themselves and whatever they thought. But more than that, many buildings afterwards were designed to copy Michelangelo’s due to the fact they were aesthetically pleasing, classy and very versatile.
