Michelangelo was a very famous painter. Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475 in a city named Caprese, Italy. Michelangelo was also a very talented sculptor who had many famous sculptures. Michelangelo created many inspirational paintings such as The Sistine Chapel, The Last Judgement, and The Creation of Adam. Michelangelo created sculptures such as David, Pietá, Moses, Bacchus, and many more. Michelangelo was an outstanding sculptor and painter with talent well beyond his years. The statue is a image of David with a slingshot about to take down Goliath (Richmond 18). Michelangelo was one of the greatest and most famous artists to ever live. He created amazing and exciting moments in the earlier years (Richmond 4). Another thing Michelangelo designed was the dome of St. Peter's in Rome, and started dedicating most of his time to other hobbies (¨Michelangelo¨). Michelangelo has painted a lot of paintings and sculpted a lot of sculptures, but another one of his famous paintings was Adam and Eve after eating the forbidden fruit, and being expelled from The Garden of Eden (Editors of Time-Life Books 27). The Sistine Chapel was a chapel in the Vatican. Michelangelo really did not want to paint the ceiling of The Sistine Chapel, but he could not refuse the Pope. Eventually he decided to paint the ceiling of The Sistine Chapel (Richmond 24). For the past 36 years a team of dedicated experts have been cleaning and polishing the Sistine Chapel (Richmond 28). In 1505, Michelangelo had come to Rome, where he started working on a gigantic tomb for Pope Julius II. He was never able to finish the tomb because of so many complications.
