Yes, he had the right to angry like any other human being that is having a bad day. Nevertheless, he could have handled the audience members differently instead of using racist remarks that had cost him to lose all of his credibility with the audiences. It is sad, by his one wrong doing that night that we are aware of, he lost all of his credibility to the audiences and the industry no matter how many times he apologizes afterward. The question is, did he really meant the apology or he just did it to save his career? I don’t think his apology was sincere, I think he meant everything he had said that night, because that was initially what was embedded within him. He was brought on the letterman’s show by one of his friends from “the Seinfeld” to apologize and admitted that he had some prejudice deepen within him that he wasn’t aware of and would have to work on it. Few of the remarks he had made was for the particular group of people in the audience to shut up, because 50 years ago they would have been hung upside down with a fork up their gluteus maximus and to throw the person out because he was a “nigger”. Yes, it was indeed his intend to execute pain towards these specific African American audience members for interrupting his live performance, but what he had said towards them was huge, because of dehumanization of African American in American history. Michael Richards’ remarks had exacerbated the tension to another level. I am sure if it was a Caucasian audience member belonging to his own group, he wouldn’t have made those kinds of remarks. It would have been ended quite differently. If he really didn’t mean it, he would have said something else instead of those derogatory comments, after all, he was a comedian for so long and was trained to for these kinds of scenario. I was really disappointed because I had enjoyed his character
