Swimming is a challenging sport and requires a lot of time to excel at it. There is no more accomplished or impressive career than swim athlete Michael Phelps.
Michele was born June 30th 1985. His parents are Debbie and Fred Phelps. Phelps first started his swim career at Loyola High School. During his time their he was diagnosed with AD-HD, which made balancing school and swimming difficult. He started personal training with his coach Bob Bowmann at North Baltimore Aquatic Club at the Meadowbrook Aquatic and Fitness Center. He was fifteen when he competed in his first Olympics. Known as the most decorated Olympic athlete over his whole career he has won medals from Athens, Beijing, London and Rio. Today Michele has twenty-eight medals. In 1999 Michael made the U.S.

At the age of fifteen Phelps was the youngest male athlete to compete in the Olympics in sixty-eight years. Phelps has set many records in his career. In 2001 Phelps set his first record in the 200 meter butterfly. In the same year he went on to break his own record in the 2001 world championships with a time of 1:54:58. He went on to continue to improve until he got to the 2004 Olympics where he won eight gold medals. In 2004 Phelps won his first medals in Athens, Four gold and two bronze. After the games Michael was arrested for driving under the influence and was put on probation for eighteen mouths. After his probation was served he won six medals in Montreal. In 2007 he broke the record for the most first place finishes in a single Olympics. He then went on to the 2008 Beijing Olympics where he won eight more medals. Afterword his use of recreation drugs was brought to light and he was then again put on probation. Then in the 2009 world championship Phelps won
