Michael Moore's first movie was something that was unusual for documentaries on those days he got an unorthodox approach to his films. He is to some degree the protagonist as he not only serves as narrator, but is the one conducting the interviews. His interaction and non-apologetic approach when he tries to get information to those who are portrayed as the bad guys in the movie is great and hilarious.
