I saw him take off from the free throw line, he soared. Perplexing my mind as to how a single human could be the way he was, do the things he did, play like he did. I've never seen a man palm a ball with such ease. I, nobody, had ever seen an athlete like him, he shaped the game and became its icon, giving kids light and hope for their lives. He life on and off the court shaped the world of basketball from fans to coaches to players to the kid whos rim was duct taped on. Michael Jordan made the world a better place.

I'm sure to our neighbors or other spectators we looked like unwanted mice running and squealing about. Did the judgment of other contain our imagination, heavens no! Time and time again we went about our merry

Nowadays, Facebook is being used less as a social media and more as a platform for people to share their opinions on current events. One trending opinion that recently caught my attention was the one widely adopted after Lamar Odom's recent drug overdose. I noticed that this particular celebrity addict gained a good deal of sympathy from the same people that condemn the addicts on our streets and in our jails. The only difference between between the two is socioeconomic status. So why do people like Lamar Odom get national news coverage, and in some cases, get put on a reality show like Celebrity Rehab, whereas the rest of the population gets neglectful jail sentences?…

From the moment my hands touched a basketball and my feet hit the court, I knew that I would dunk one day. I would jump until my shins were on fire, burning from the pressure that they had been put under.…
