In Zoom Tens’ article “ESPN has Lied To You: Ten Reasons Michael Jordan Is Not the Greatest NBA Player of All Time” Jackson Summer gives readers his own opinion on the subject of the NBA greatest of all time, he first gives a synopsis of Jordan's career and glorifies his accomplishments with statistics and his own opinions as well as listing several other players he feels may qualify for the title. Summer begins with his tenth reason first and continues going down through his main points for his argument with his ninth, eighth and so on. Summer covers topics such as like the overrated teams Jordan played as well as his inability to reach or do well in the NBA playoffs and lastly, finishing his article by stating statistics of basketball players …show more content…
Summer explains that Michael Jordan was not able to lead his team out of the first round of the playoffs during 1985-1987 due to the lack of a key player Scottie Pippen, who was widely known as one of the greatest defenders of all time. Summer adds, “Interesting note: Pippen has a better career winning record than Michael Jordan,” to further indicate the actuality of Jordan’s basketball career and his performance. Summer also mentions that Jordan could not get the Washington Bullets to the playoffs with his main reason being he did not necessarily excel over the other basketball players who were equally, if not better qualified. Summer does not fail to take note that even after Jordan’s first retirement, The Bulls played just as good as before only losing two games in the regular season than the year prior. In this article, which is factual and informative, Jackson also provides his sentiment and viewpoint so the readers can get a better understanding.
