Sports required a lot of perseverance. Perseverance is when you keep trying until you finally reach your goals. For instance, Michael Jordan did not start as being a pro basketball player. He failed multiple times but was motivated to do better. With perseverance and practice, he was able to become one of the best professional basketball players. Another example would be Kobe Bryant. Music takes self-reliance. From my personal experience with my friend Ashley, learning how to play an instrument takes time and patience. She was not the best piano player, but it did not stop her from doing what she loved. She would still continue to practice the piano even though she can hear that her piece was not perfect. Despite that Ashely did not sound good, she still had the willpower to learn how to play the piano. In a related incident, I chose to learn how to play the clarinet. Even though my mother would tease me of how the notes came out, I would not care about how others would think of me. I still continued to practice. I was able to play the correct notes with more effort putted in. As the result of not giving up, I was able to play in our band
