He was deemed “the most successful artist of the 1980’s”, and received eight Grammy’s. For the next several years, up until his death in 2009 at age 50, he continued working hard and living out his passion of performing and singing.
His whole life wasn’t solely devoted to his career though. He had a personal life, and dated a couple of people throughout his life. In 1994 Jackson, the King of pop, asked to marry Lisa Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Their marriage lasted two years, they had problems and divorced. He later married another woman, Debbie Rowe, and had three children. His children speak fondly of Jackson, even though he was a famous popstar they say he still made time for them and he was a great, loving father.
Jackson had a lot of things going on at the same time, taking care of his family, parenting children, and managing an influential career, so he probably was overwhelmed at times. His last performance was the day before he died. His death was unpredictable, it was, unfortunately, due to drugs. It’s debated whether or not it was Jackson’s fault. He had a personal doctor who medicated him, and many people think his doctor purposefully poisoned him.
