Michael Fred Phelps is the most renown swimmer in the entire world. Being the most decorated Olympian with twenty-two Olympic medals. He was the youngest person, at fifteen years old, to compete in the 2000 summer Olympics. He was breaking records left and right. Many people started to notice Michael. He became a professional swimmer at age sixteen and his whole life changed from then on out. This legendary swimmer was born on June thirtieth, 1985. His dad was an all around athlete so it couldn't be more obvious that his dad was who influenced him. But when his parents got divorced in 1994 he went to live with his mom and three sisters whom he became very close with. But his life won't always revolve around swimming. He has a fiancée named Nicole since February twenty-ninth. Also, a few months ago that they had a little swimmer on the way and on the fifth of May, Boomer Robert Phelps was born. He said being a father is a better feeling than earning all of his Olympic medals. At thirty years old you would be thinking he would be done with swimming. In 2012 he announced he was retiring but at the Rio Olympics this summer, Michael Phelps will be participating, making it his last challenge. Phelps could never imagine himself doing anything else. At this age, he claims it’s the fastest he has ever been. You never know, he could end up swimming at the next Olympics in 2020. For right now we focus on the fact that Michael is the greatest swimmer across the entire world. With eighteen gold medals and adding more most likely this summer, he is outstanding, an inspiration for little swimmers everywhere.
