Michael Bloomberg's Argument For Hillary Clinton

Michael Bloomberg best persuaded me to vote for Hillary Clinton. Through his very strong use of ethos, pathos, and logos, he showed me why Hillary is the best candidate for president. I could not deny Bloomberg’s credibility when he talked about his history as the mayor of New York. He said, “Because of my success in the private sector, I had the chance to run America’s largest city for 12 years, governing in the wake of its greatest tragedy.” Here, Bloomberg earned my trust in what he was talking about due to the fact that he has a long history in politics. I felt that I could trust what he was saying because of his “12 years” of experience. When he talked about running the largest city in “its greatest tragedy” I felt that I could depend …show more content…
I think that my interviewee would be a skeptical audience. I believe this because many of his arguments she would agree with and many of his arguments she would disagree with. For example, my interviewee would strongly agree with Bloomberg when he criticised Trump for wanting to “deport 11 million undocumented people.” My interviewee immigrated here from Mexico and she believes that everyone including immigrants deserve and equal opportunity. She said, “Moving here from Mexico, it was very difficult to live in a place where others call you an alien. I believe we all deserve the same chances and America should be an open home for all”. The fact that Trump wants to deport so many people would enrage her just like it did to Bloomberg. Although she would agree with Bloomberg here, she would disagree with him on his point about growing small businesses instead of big businesses. My interviewee wonders “how our economy can thrive with such high taxes on big companies.” Here she would highly question Bloomberg's argument of Trump’s business plan and how it may “lead to greater debt and more unemployment”. Overall, my interviewee would have mixed feelings about Michael Bloomberg’s endorsement because although she vouches for some of his arguments, she finds some of them
