I am interested in becoming a part of the MIB combined degree program at UF. I would be an undergraduate student in the program, while completing both my undergraduate courses and graduate level courses.
Required qualifications:
The minimum requirements for the program include:
• 3.2 cumulative UF GPA (listed on top of UF transcript).
• Completed 90 credit hours, including AP, IB and dual enrollment, before beginning the program.
• Students who major in a business subject (general business, finance, marketing, etc.) MUST complete all seven tracking courses before beginning the program.
• Completion of FIN3403 Business Finance and MAR3023 Principles of Marketing before beginning the program (strongly preferred). …show more content…

The MIB program at UF is a recognized program around the world and many employers would respect a degree from UF’s college of business. In the future, traveling could become difficult due to intensive internships, a MBA program, or work positions. The courses will be time consuming and could also call for time spent outside the classroom for studying, projects, and assignments. This program strives to create individuals, who can work well with others and the program does so by requiring teamwork and group projects. The MIB program will help students to develop their interpersonal and social skills. It is recommended that students have at the most a part-time job while completing the program. A student enrolled in this program can expect heavy workloads and engagement is required. The description and information found about the program describe the commitment required from students and a plethora of skills and benefits that students will gain after completing the degree. By the serious tone and verbiage used in the MIB description, I can indicate that the program does not take education and business lightly and I can expect devoting time and energy into completing this
