Miami: What Does It Means To Me

Decent Essays
A place that describes Miami to me is , Miami Beach. The weather is great. At the coldest times of year, you get into the 50s, maybe 40s ( if we’re lucky), and just in the mornings even then. You can enjoy the outdoors year round. Beach in the spring/summer, fishing in the fall/winter, Everglades trips in the winter. There's a lot to do. Our winters aren't really winters its really summer all year round. It's a place that takes full advantage of its location. More so than some other places, although I've not been to many others places. There is a culture of enjoying yourself .This means lots of great restaurants, beaches, fishing, and cultural events. It's a fun city where work/life balance is really important to many people. to elaborate

Introduction: Trois-Rivieres is a small Quebecois city located on the St. Lawrence river in between Montreal and Quebec City. The name Trois-Rivieres means “Three Rivers” and this is because within the city there are two small islands which create three rivers leading to the St. Lawrence. I think this is the best place to live in Canada regarding the favorable climate, proportional population, breathtaking views, job opportunities and very affordable housing. Climate: Trois-Rivieres has an average temperature of 5.2 ℃ and an annual precipitation rate of 1009 mm.…

Growing up in Jamaica was not what some may think as ideal, it has been described as a Third World Country, but to me, it was just home. Third world indeed, poor, violent at times; a contradiction, with its sandy beaches, clear blue skies, delectable food, feel good music, and some of the hardest working people one can ever have the pleasure of meeting, who refused to stay where life may have placed them, but strived to climb above those circumstances and attempt to carve out a life for themselves and their children. Let me introduce you to the Jamaica that I grew up in and remembered; I remember the endless summer holidays growing up off the Sligoville Road, in a small district called Mt. Moreland, where the playground…

Many things can represent the city of Miami to people. To me however, from daytime to nighttime, South Beach best illustrates what makes Miami different from almost every other city: diversity. Everything, from the sounds, feelings and tastes, to the smells and sights, makes one feel as though you are standing at the crossroads to the rest of the world. As you approach South Beach, crossing over the ocean on I-395, you can already hear multiple styles of music playing in the distance.…
