I’ve been waiting a long time for the Meyers-Briggs test, so I was excited for today. My code is isfp. I’ve had some background in Meyers-Briggs, and I took it before in AVID, so I had some idea what my personality traits are. I’m not surprised to find out that I’m an introvert. I keep to myself a lot, and I’m always uncomfortable in social situations. That being said, I was surprised to find out I’m a sensing person. I’m conflicted with that. Yes, I like to see definite things to make sure they’re real, but I like making decisions based off my intuition. It wasn’t surprising to me that sensing was my least clear skill. Often, I’m a very organized person, and I like a place for everything. I hate a mess, which sounds like the personality trait of judgement. I was finding myself questioning this test, then Carole said something that made sense. Many people can be different traits in different circumstances. For example, I like to fly by the seat of my pants on a vacation, but I can’t have anything out of place in my room. I’m very organized with material things and I like everything to have a spot. Another thing I noticed during Nicole’s presentation was that I often found myself wishing I had different traits. Many of my problems come from being too emotional, and if I was a thinker that would solve a lot. I wish I was able to slow things down and analyze the facts either letting me emotions get the best of me. Also, I want to be an extrovert as well. I feel my life would be easier and more fulfilling if I was more outgoing with people. I feel I’m only an introvert because social interaction gives me anxiety. If it was something that came naturally to me, I’d love talking to people. Most importantly, I noticed all the friends I have in that class have the opposite traits that I
