Events that were benefitted were any type of jump, throws, leaps and 400 meter or less races. These athletes were at an advantage because of the thin air, and deprivation of oxygen, their oxygen delivery was maximized and they had a higher blood flow. Also, regeneration of PCr was increased and this was able to give their muscles more energy. Events that suffered were endurance events. These athletes were at a disadvantage because the oxygen content in their bodies decreased causing it to diffuse in the blood slower. In addition, the athletes VO2 max decreased

Introduction: Maximal oxygen uptake, or VO2 max represents the maximum amount of oxygen consumption attainable during all out aerobic exercise, most commonly running on a treadmill. The point at which oxygen consumption plateaus is the individual’s maximal oxygen uptake. If the individual does not plateau, that point is referred to as VO2 peak. My classmates would talk about how Mexicans need to be deported back to Mexico because we "mooch" off of all the benefits the government grants. My family does not expect or rely on anyone else's help. They would rather earn an honest living and take care of themselves.…

Examples of endurance training are long-distance running, biking, and swimming and examples of strength training are weightlifting, wrestling, and sports like football. Different characteristics can be seen between endurance athletes and strength-trained athletes. Endurance training is associated with volume overload of the heart, whereas strength training is pressure overload. Endurance athletes need a large volume of oxygenated blood pumped to the rest of the body while they perform. Endurance athletes increase cardiac output with reduced peripheral vascular resistance, resulting in continuous volume changes for all cardiac chambers.…
