Mexico, a country in the South America continent. In this modern world, it is considered a third world country but preferably it should be called a developing nation. This country is rich in tradition, culture, and also in its history. From all the countries in Latin America, it is the third largest country out there. Mexico is located in the border by the United States of America to the north and Belize Guatemala to the southeast. Mexico has a pretty large area of 1,964,375 sq kmsq km. it has a total land of 1,943,945 sq km and a total water of 20,430 sq km. It’s the fourteen largest county in the world. The country produces about 100 million ounces a year. Another precious metal that Mexico produces is gold. Gold has been involved in Mexico’s history dating back to the 1500s. The majority of Mexico’s gold is obtain in central states and the northern states. The non-precious metals are copper, lead, and zinc. Copper is usually combined with other metal to make bronze or brass. Sonora produces the largest amount of copper. 400,000 metric tons of copper are made in Mexico. Lead is a mineral and is often use to make a lot of things like pigments, shot and bullets, lead acid batteries, and solder. 140,000 metric tons of lead are made in Mexico each year. Last but not least, Zinc is used to making a good amount of items as well. Rubber, medicine, brass, and pint are to name a few that Zinc helps make. Chihuahua and Zacatecas mostly obtain zinc in Mexico I can name many environmental problems that Mexico has. One of Mexico’s environmental issues I should mention is soil erosion. It has contributed to deforestation.at a rate of 0.9%, Mexico loses its forest due to industrial and agricultural expansion. Chemical pollution is another major problem.
