Danny’s father’s side of the family is Mexican, and they live in a city that is primarily made up of Mexicans. Since Danny is only half Mexican, he feels sort of disconnected from the rest of his family. The book shows how the “typical” Chicano family would go about their daily lives and how even though Danny isn’t the typical Mexican American, he still belonged to the Chicano culture. To complete my project, I read through the book again. I chose ten valuable character and found key information that would help me write descriptions about them. I used the internet to see how baseball cards are formatted and the type of information that is put on them. I looked to see how other people making their own cards formatted them, and I looked back on many examples when creating the format for the baseball cards. Multiple times while reading the book, I had to look up translations for slang the characters were
