Mexican Law Corrupt

Since the law in Mexico is so corrupt, seeking for help was getting no help at all. We were so desperate for help that we did not know we were in bad hands. A lawyer in Mexico heard of our situation so he came and looked for us and offered to lend a hand. The lawyer made everything seem so good that we weren’t worried at all because we trusted him. Since the lawyer we had worked with the Mexico government, he had the power to just walk in the jail and take my dad out. The jail never had an order to lock up my dad, they put him there because they wanted money, especially after they found out that we came from the united states so they assumed we had a good amount of money. The trust grew even more because of that. Things started to get weird. The lawyer started to ask for money to do certain things. …show more content…
the lawyer never did anything to help us solve the case, he just made it worse. Before, my dad had negotiated with the people that crashed us that to be equal we pay for their damages and they would pay for ours and the man agreed. The lawyer negotiated with the man that crashed into us in order to get even more money from us. When the accident happened, out truck was towed. When we tried to get the truck back, they did not want to give it back. They were either going to keep it or sell it for their own benefit. Money talks, especially in Mexico. A lot of money was taken from us since the impound lot put a price on getting our own truck
