Of course the basic definition any website can give you is the interest of people consuming the product and etc. But for the Chicano definition, it is a way of life that is occupied through the culture itself. As for example the zines many Young Mexicans used this to show the culture, and lifestyle of many Chicanos that were going through and fighting off stereotypical issues and putting out messages inside articles. Another mainstream topic many believed was that immigrants were not contributing people of society, but in reality, they were paying taxes and contributing more than others. As issues from the past are rising from presidential candidates too false information brought up on the news and magazines. The magazines and zines are one of leading different publishers that we identify in lectures and articles. Zines used the popular culture and were created by the Chicanos for the Chicano communities that focused on the real-life issues happening. While magazines focused merely on actors and mass media issues which do not truly show the popular culture of the communities.
