The Unnecessary Construction Nightmare: The Mexican Border Wall For centuries, heavily secured border walls have been symbols of division between countries or other political entities who are not in good standing. Donald Trumps preposterous ploy to get elected would further divide two neighboring countries, and create the most secure and militarized border between two countries who are at peace in the entire world. His proposal of a wall is not only a logistical nightmare to even attempt to construct, but has also been proven to do little to nothing against illegal immigration. After spending a over a year encouraging crowds that the wall will be built, it seemed as if he would deliver on this promise, however, after 100 days in office, …show more content…

There’s no way that they will front billions of dollars for a project that solely discriminates against their people and has no positive effects for them.” The fact that Trump believes that he could somehow get Mexico to pay for the wall is ludicrous. They have their own problems to worry about, and paying for the wall is definitely not one of them. Just the construction of the wall alone will be an incredibly difficult task. “finding materials, people to construct the wall, and everything in between will be quite the task.” according to Kate Drew of CNBC. For the sake of argument, assuming all the materials could be easily sourced and purchased, (hint: they can’t, not on this scale) the task of actually transporting them to the site of the wall is a nightmare within itself. Most areas where the wall would be constructed are vast, unmodernized deserts, without paved roads. This leads to even higher costs, as roads would have to be paved just to deliver the

“Border Fencing Is Bad Policy” According to Melanie Mason, the author of “Border Fencing Is Bad Policy”, the United States should not build a fence that spans the border of Mexico. There are 12 million undocumented immigrants living in America, and the author claims that a fence will stop nothing. The government has been trying to put more barriers between America and severely restrict immigration, but according to Mason, “the border fence is a political band-aid for a larger policy problem.” By using evidence and appealing to human compassion, Mason convinces the reader that a border fence is unnecessary and a small issue covering up a larger one.…

Environmental Effects of the Border Wall on Animal Migration and Vegetation Introduction: The border wall has long been a controversial issue since its original proposition in the early 2000s. Aside from the obvious differences in opinions, there is a clear problem with the building of a border wall between Mexico and America, the impact on the environment due to the border wall itself and the surrounding a travelling populations of humans associated with it. As much as individuals would like to think that the border wall is effective in deterring illegal immigrants, it really does little except drive migrants deeper into the dangerous and desolate wilderness in order to cross. What is effected is not the migration of humans, but the migration…

With time, money could be circulated back to the government through taxes and cause an economic boom. Trump disregards questions that directly pertain to funding for the project and instead states that the logistics are “too complex for politicians to understand”…
