You made a good point in regards to the Mexican Americans having labor intensive jobs is difficult due to the many health disparities they have. Educating them on prevention is a wise choice for your nursing intervention. It is also important that you involve the family when providing nursing care. Within this culture, they value family and their values, which is crucial in the care provided, as in turn for the treatment to be effective (Newman Giger, 2013). It is also important when providing nursing care, that we consider their cultural beliefs and values.
