Career and College Research Paper “The astronomer is, in some measure, independent of his fellow astronomer; he can wait in his observatory till the star he wishes to observe comes to his meridian; but the meteorologist has his observations bounded by a very limited horizon, and can do little without the aid of numerous observers furnishing him contemporaneous observations over a wide-extended area.” (Epsy). Meteorology is the study of climate change and weather, another word for them would be an atmospheric scientist. The use of highly developed instruments and complicated tools and technology makes this a job you can not take frivolously. They pay close attention to changes in the atmosphere by checking the pressure of the atmosphere, the dew point, the wind speed, and the humidity. (“Summary”) I have always been interested in this career, ever since I was a little kid, because I was fascinated by how the weather altered itself. Not to mention, the camera has always been a great home for me. The way weather works, the science behind it, and how people can predict it by going to school, makes this career a prudent decision for me. (“Summary”) I chose to be a broadcaster, because of my zealous love for the weather, and the camera. Analyzing all the time is a major thing for atmospheric scientists, because there could be a change in the weather and if there wasn’t anybody watching over the weather, nobody could track how it came in. I would be working full-time, but preferably not the night shift. Working weekends, nights, and holidays is something I am going to have to expect while pursuing this career. Locally, in my state around the area is where I have decided to broadcast and study the weather
