While standing in the bleachers at Giants Stadium on an early spring evening in 1994, when the first chords of “Hit the Lights” (Metallica) played, and the audience went crazy. It was easy to see the profound influence that this heavy metal band had on the heavy metal music community. I have been to a lot of concerts in my lifetime but none of them can compare to the Metallica experience. Metallica was formed in the city of Los Angeles in 1981 by its singer/guitarist James Hetfield, and drummer Lars Ulrich.
