I think meta-narrative is my favorite topic out of the four, which is surprising because it's the one I understand the least. Micro-narratives are more understandable for me, I suppose, because they explain much more about human nature. While meta-narratives still technically exist, our modern way of expressing ourselves as (primarily) individual strays from them. Meta-narratives are too permanent, and we don't like being pinned down as one thing, or even just a handful of things. Instead, we like micro-narratives because they're temporary influences on our personality and don't express us as a whole at any one time.
