In 1899, there was a story called the Message to Garcia. It's a book about a man named Rowan who was giving a mission to take a message to a man named Garcia back during the war between Spain and United States. Rowan didn't ask McKinley any questions about his mission that he was tasked with. He didn't ask who Garcia was or where Garcia was located at. Rowan just directly took the message to Garcia without any uncertainty in his orders. Rowan’s mission to Cuba was, somewhere in the Cuban mountains.

Message to Garcia is appropriate in the Marine Corps because is serves as an inspiration for many reasons. It's a primary example that rowan a had no questions being asked attitude, its makes you question your ability as a leader. This
