Aside from the Sun Stone, it is pretty difficult to find much about the artifacts featured in the museum. Linda Nicholas had gone to multiple excavations documenting artifacts not only in Oaxaca, Mexico. The information isn't found directly on the main website for visitors. People can get to it by doing a little digging. This area of the website is for looking through the research and expeditions that the Chicago Field Museum had conducted around the world. Both of the information provided helps people have a hold on what Mesoamerica was like however, the Peabody Museum's description of the artifact may be a bit over the top or too glamorized. Though, the information is focused on when the artifact was used, they are quite vague about why it even existed.
