She would play Huntress with her twin brother in the trees of their neighborhood, fashioning a crude bow from a stick and some string. However, as they grew out of it, the twins remained passionate and fantasized about life as a Huntsman and Huntress. They would come up with endless combinations of their weapons, talking about how they could fight together.
When they came of age, the two siblings decided they wanted to become Huntsmen. Azure forged two twin scimitars, named Ice and Fire, that he used in devastated concert. Selene, on the other hand, tried for a much more elegant weapon. She made Nightingale, a bow that fired arrows infused with lightning dust. Not just regular arrows, mind. These were made of light metal, and could be reused very often. As a result, Selene only carried 5 to 10 in her quiver on her hip.
The twins were a devastating combat pair in school. Selene could turn the tides with a single shot, and when she couldn’t reach the opponent, her brother’s swordwork could take care of it. The two were envied throughout the class, and vicious rumors soon cropped up as it was clear that they were the best.
