“Behind every myth lies a truth; beyond every legend is reality, as radiant as the story itself.” Many will believe; many will not. However, myths and legends will forever be a mystery till everyone sees it and believes it. Mermaids are denied being real by many. Some think mermaids are real; however, then everyone's point of view on them is wrong. Mermaids could be real because no one can disprove the historical background, modern-day research, and explanations. Historical backgrounds of mermaids are all over the world is full with interesting facts about mermaids. Mermaids go back thousands of years. Mermaids were sighted by early Arabs In 586 A.D. The NOAA better known as the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration had denied that mermaids were real back in 2012, however stated that mermaids were real the following year, and that they were growing in numbers. Mermaids first appeared in cave paintings in the stone age period. A majority of mermaids live in warmer water than colder water. It was stated that the NOAA has many mermaids captured and that Obama, current president of the United States, has met a few of them. Many whales washed up on shore at an unknown location, two children found the whales, however they swear they had seen a body with the whales, they gave on record what they saw, but it was later changed. A few days after the Navy took the evidence. A while later they had another wash up on shore but this time with a great white shark. The great white shark was said to have mermaid remains in its stomach. The fishermen have been finding strange spears in ocean animals. NOAA once said “The belief in mermaids may have arisen at the very dawn of our species… But are mermaids real? No evidence of aquatic humanoids have ever been found.
