Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, Sacagawea, me, and others were sent by Thomas Jefferson to explore the newly purchased Louisiana Territory. Our expedition into the Louisiana Territory was not only to explore but record information about the land and find the source of the Missouri-northwest passage- make peace with the Indians as well. This expedition started in 1804 and ended in 1806 which is two and a half or twenty eight months. The expedition was from St.Louis , Missouri to the Pacific Ocean along with the Missouri River, and Rocky Mountains.
