The information contains the three reporting sections that all healthcare personnel have to report on in order to receive some sort of reimbursement from the government. The three reporting sections contain Quality Measures, Improvement Activities, and Advancing Care Information (Department of Health and Human Services, n.d.). A brilliant man by the name of Ernest Hemingway, once said "Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another. " What comes to mind after reading this statement? Simple, we all end out on the same path eventually in life yet to be noted as the most remarkable person based upon their natural raw passion for life and how they live; is what makes individual. Communication is an important factor in any business matter. Therefore, it is vital to communicate the important details clearly and thoroughly. The business proposal I would present to upper management to improve patient care would be multidisciplinary rounding. Multidisciplinary rounding can improve patient care by ensuring all patients concerns are addressed as they come up instead of at discharge or after discharge (Dingley, Derieg, & Persing, n.d.). I would present my idea to upper management for support and funding by providing them with printed material that would allow for visualization of improved patient care in other facilities that have implemented Multidisciplinary rounding.…

During my employment at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Boston I was able to work with a graduate of MCPHS, Kaiming (Kyle) Chiang, MPAS, PA-C. His knowledge and comprehension of his role as well as his eagerness to always do more inspired me. Kyle’s professionalism and confidence led him to be a favorite among several patients; he was able to diagnose with confidence; and was able to communicate with the patients in a way that they would be able to understand. Kyle was always an advocate for MCPHS and as I continued to work with him I was able to see, not only his passion, but the knowledge he gleaned from his time at MCPHS. I knew that MCPHS was not only a school that prepared their students well for the workplace, but also teaches them in a manner where patient education and…

When looking at the economy and what systems work best to regulate it, you observe command and control or incentive system. Each side has their own benefits and downsides, but personally, I find that incentive is the better system. Reason being is that with an incentive system, the government has less control over the political decisions being made. It’s all about a game of who can earn the most money, and when it comes to government and money, they’re going to look for a way to earn the most money no matter the consequences. For example, 3 of Iceland's largest banks had borrowed 120 billion dollars (movie).…

The United States has a health problem: Nearly 70% of American adults are overweight or obese and half of all adults in the US have one or more chronic health conditions. The US invests more of our GDP on healthcare than any other country and is disproportionately ranked 37th by the World Health Organization compared to other national health care systems. How can we solve our problem and improve health in the US? Family practice and primary care physicians are the key to reversing these trends in health rather than specialists; only in primary care do physicians hold the responsibility of preventing disease and promoting health over the lifetime of patients. My interest in primary care is motivated by a passion for preventative medical education,…
