1. Wear a pair of rubber gloves and wipe off the mercury on a paper towel.
2. After you are content that you have wiped off all the mercury, use a flashlight on the area spilled to see if anymore of the metal is left. It will cause reflection when the light is shone on it.
3. Use an eyedropper to collect any left behind mercury beads and place them in a plastic bag. You could also put a tape around your finger, keeping the sticky side outside, and tap it on the beads for them to stick
