This was it, die with my honor in hope that my death will convince everyone of the truth behind my words; or trade my integrity for life but ensuring that nobody will believe the truth about the society built around us.
I thought about our government, how I had been happy living under her guidance my entire life up until a few weeks ago. I also thought how I could never regain that happiness again and how my actions were deciding if my fellow citizens would live in blissful ignorance or know the horrible truth.
In the end I told the trial judge I chose the truth. I announced that the entire thing was a lie. I was deeply sorry for any confusion and worry I had caused, and would try to work hard to make up for what I had done. I stepped off the gallows feeling dead inside as I had abandoned all my morals and integrity there. So, once again I joined the government's herd of mindless
