I had this interview with a woman named, Pa Vue where we talk about my choice of career path, asking me what I wanted to do in the future. I told her that I wanted to become a nurse with her career of being a pharmacist's she told me about the similarities and differences that would be of help. Her job consists of refilling medications and making sure everything is correct for the customers. She talked about the steps she took to becoming a pharmacist and how important her job is to giving out correct prescriptions for the customers and being fast and efficient with them. During this week’s assignment I found the interview of Dr. Allen Frances was very interesting. Being in the Human Services program here at SCC and wanting to become a social worker I have been told that I need to be familiar with the DSM-5. I definitely agree with him that normality is difficult to define and it has become a cultural concept rather than a medical concept. Dr. Allen Frances states that our society is already immersed in pill popping which I didn’t find surprising at all. My opinion and viewpoint towards this is I feel like sometimes people get diagnosed incorrectly but any easy solution to make someone feel better is by taking medications and switching them up if some aren’t working.…

The purpose of the research design presented is to examine the general perceptions of attorneys and discover why public defenders are portrayed more positively, compared to court-appointed attorneys. An effective method of measurement for purposes of this study is interviewing. Since interviewing is a conversational based method, it enables participants to search for reasoning behind their believes, the way they feel, and the way they believe society feels. Additionally, this study seeks subjective responses and targets the general population, to measure the accuracy and consistency of the perceptions towards attorneys. Furthermore, interviewing is essential to my research design to provide upfront insight and automatic responses rather than…

It was an interesting, jovial and interesting interview session with Mr Shane. Speaking to him thought me a lot more about Concordia, and specifically the liberal arts aspect of Concordia. The explanation he provided on liberal arts, and how it impacts our lives not just in school, but also outside of school made me see the importance of it. Mr Shane's explanation of liberal arts gave me a different perspective of it both In theory, and in practice. Before this interview, my knowledge of liberal arts quite limited.…

Many experiences in my life have changed my views in multiple ways, but by far the most life changing experience has to be when I was elected Daingerfield District Vice-President for the FFA. This experience has broadened my comfort zone of shyness and unconfidence, and as the FFA Opening Ceremonies say, it brought me “into the glorious sunlight of brotherhood and cooperation.” I finally began to realize after Greenhand Camp, my freshman year, that I might have a potential future in the FFA. With the support of my chapter, friends, family and much devoted prayer, I was able to accomplish my fears and officially announce that I was running for District Officer.…

Dear University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, I was one of the applicants who attended the December 9 interview for the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. Recently, I called the office of admission where I learned from Dawn that the admission committee will convene on or around February 14. I would like to add some statements for the admission committee to review in addition to my application. When I interviewed with Dr. Kristin Baca, she asked about my activities since I left school when I completed my post-baccalaureate at the University of Texas at Dallas.…

I interviewed Small Business Owner Joe Fugere of Tutta Bella Pizzeria. He said that there was an unrestricted building existing in a locality close to where he grew up. In the 50’s and 60’s, there were large Italian and Irish settler’s peoples that lived within a 5-mile radius and he said that there was no authentic Italian cuisine in that communal. For this field expert interview, I interviewed one of the first grade teachers, Mrs. Heckman, at the school where I work. I decided to conduct my interview on Mrs. Heckman for this particular assignment because last year I worked in her classroom during an undergrad course and I really liked her classroom management style. I believe that she is fulfills the expert aspect for this paper because like with most classes, she has a very diverse classroom when it comes to behaviors, yet it is clearly apparent that her class is more managed when comparing other classrooms. Mrs. Heckman has 38 years of teaching experience where she has taught third grade for eight years; kindergarten for ten years; and first grade for twenty years. The following…

The interview assignment helped me get to know all of the people in this class. In my other classes, I often cannot name more than the few people who sit beside me, if I can name that many. That is very different from my high school classes where I know every person in the room. This assignment made this class more comfortable for me, as I was able to make a small connection with every classmate. This assignment forced me to communicate with every single person in the class rather than the people who sat around me on the first day.…

An important skill for every person to have is having good interview skills as a bad interview results in no job. Most young people dislike the whole interview process or don’t have the experience which can lead to the interview going wrong.
