On Wednesday, October 7 at 3p.m., I met with my advisor; Summer Balcer to discuss my future college career plans. We discussed which courses would be best for me to take next semester and then put them into my planner on my account. I also decided during this meeting to take US history 1302 over the winter mini session. In addition to the winter mini session, I also am planning on taking Math 1314 during the first summer session and then possibly Government 2306 for the second summer session. I decided to take my math class over the summer because I tend to do better in my math classes when I only have to focus on that class. Another subject that I discussed with my advisor was how I plan on transferring to University of Houston for the Fall

Do you know what city contains the longest beach in Ohio? It is Mentor, Ohio, containing Headlands Beach that is approximately one mile long. I chose this city because I have lived in the area my entire life and enjoy the many fascinating attractions the city offers to the community. Not only do I appreciate the city but my entire family also lives in Mentor, and I would like to live near them. Although Mentor is a fantastic city, I wonder if problems with the population of Mentor will affect traffic or pollution and cause families to become distant because they don’t want to travel through a populated city?…

In my time at Union thus far I have been able to use my unique academic background to enable me to grow and prosper. I originally started out at a middle/high school that was very atypical in that the school did not provide students with grades, nor use exams as a way of evaluating a student’s abilities. The school also did not participate in any form of a standardized test such as the New York State Regents. Instead, I was heavily evaluated by teachers where they would highlight my strengths, identify areas of improvement, and suggest how I was doing in the course. This school was called the Lehman Alternative Community School and emphasized heavy student involvement in the decisions the school made and had strengths at instilling critical…

I wish to thank you for the opportunity to apply and be considered for the mentor program. It has been a huge goal of mine to be a part of the program since I first learned about it in the sixth grade. I would like to ask you to reconsider the decision to not include me in the program. As you may know, sixth grade was extremely difficult for me. The adjustment from elementary to middle school was much more challenging than I could have ever imagined, and I know that my grades, attendance, and emotional health showed that great trouble I was having in a very obvious way.…

Thus far, I have learned many important aspects of becoming an effective therapist. One of the major parts of training involves evaluation and feedback from supervisors or peers. I think evaluations are an important part of training because it provides feedback to areas, which you are doing well in, and areas in which you will need improvement. I believe that without evaluations, we as therapist cannot grow into effective therapist. To date I cannot think of any job or career that does not use “end of the year evaluations”.…

As an effective coach, it is a key initial step that I know each teacher on a professional level by continually assessing their individual technological needs, learning styles, and prior knowledge-before developing an "appropriate" professional development exercise. This objective of continual assessment, is best accomplished via “management by walking around”, and engaging in direct face to face communications with instructional staff. In order to facilitate effective "personal" communication during all staff interactions, it is my practice to use language that builds trust, encourages forward thinking, and creates a culture of positivity. In establishing strong professional relationships, and a "culture of trust", it is crucial that it…

Introduction The coach’s role is to develop the coachee’s resourcefulness through skillful questioning, challenges, and support; not advising because when advice is given, the coach implies that he or she knows best and that the coachee does not (Rogers, 2012). Coaching requires a listening ear to ensure that the coachee is understood and is making decisions that will ultimately help accomplish the goals. During this final coaching session, my client and I will be working together to close the coaching sessions and then determine the next phase of our relationship Pre-Coaching Plan…
