Mental Imagery In Sports

Visualization is a mental image or you imagining what you are going to do. Mental imagery is often used by athletes to improve their skills. Used correctly, it can maintain good health and even help you perform better in sports. Performing an event in the mind creates the neural patterns to teach our muscles to do exactly what we want them to do. Mental imagery needs to be practiced regularly. Relaxation, realism, regularity, and reinforcement are the four elements of mental imagery.
