The difference between mental health and mental illness is that mental health is how you are feeling at a certain point in your life whereas mental illness is something that most people carry with them for their entire life. For example, if somebody has a low self-esteem because another person pointed a nasty comment toward them, that comment would be affecting their mental health. Everyone has mental health, whether that is good or bad. Mental illness, however, does not affect everyone. Mental illness often affects a person’s ability to interact with other people. I think that if everyone thought that way, the world would be a much better place. If I’m being honest, I don’t even think that way. I find myself thinking about normal from appearances, which I know is completely wrong of me, and I wish I didn’t think like that, but I do. However, I respect the right of people to do what they want to with their appearance, and like you said, as long as they are good people I have no problem with them. Diversity and differences are definitely a good thing!
