I would be interested in joining this organization after graduation because it focuses on psychiatric-mental health nursing and wellness promotion, prevention of mental health problems, and the care that someone receives. This aspect interests me because I would like to interact with those who are living with a mental health illness. Many nurses forget that those patients who have a mental illness are still human and begin to treat them differently. After eight years of working at a mental health clinic I have gained a passion of working with this population.
