This course also taught me how to be more flexible. Unfortunately, substance abuse and mental health sometimes co-exist, sometimes patient have dual diagnosis. Mental illness is not a new concept or illness; however, not many people know are comfortable discussing mental illness. This discomfort may stem from the stigma that follows mental illness of the adaptive response to keep it private from the public.
